Lest we forget pensions…

Ron Littlepage is out with another column today reminding Jacksonville taxpayers of the impending pension plan crisis we face.  Mr. Littlepage points out an interesting point that also really stood out to me—the City’s new “Commission on Pension Reform” has already changed its name.  It’s now the “Committee on Pension Sustainability.”  As Littlepage states, that should give you an idea of what we probably will not see come out of the Committee—concrete reform.

Read the article.  With an unfunded liability of $1.2 billion, pension plans are something every Jacksonville taxpayer needs to start familiarizing themselves with.
