The State of Florida Gains Another Dubious Distinction

The National Center on Family Homelessness released a report on Tuesday that found Florida ranked 46th out of 50 — 50 being the worst — for its sheer number of homeless children.  Florida has one of the highest rates of homeless children in the nation, with as many as 50,000 kids living in shelters, motels, cars or doubled up with another family.
