The picnic table story that just won’t go away. I suppose we’ll have to start referring to it as “Joe the Plumber’s Pinic Table.” (In other words, Mr. Hogan never shares the whole story–just the parts that cast him in the best possible light.) Regardless, mark it down, Mike Hogan intends to run for Mayor.

Well, how else is a Tax Collector to generate headlines in a city that hates taxes? A tax collector doesn’t get the press that say, a Sheriff does. And there you have it…Hogan vs. Rutherford, Holland, Davis and company.
I’ve been looking for a new place to post and this seems like a good site.
I don’t think Rutherford is going to be running. I’ve heard he put out feelers but was discouraged from putting his hat in the ring. As to Holland, he has a very cozy no-term-limits job. He should stick to that…but I’m guessing his ego won’t let him. I’ve got money on Dan Davis and perhaps Ronnie Fussell running. I once thought Mike Corrigan might put his hat in the ring, but now I’m not so sure – maybe he’ll go after some other public service job, though.
